As the daughter of a Pastor (PKs, where y'all at?!), my faith has always been a big part of my life. After going off to college and getting a taste of the crazy life, I gave my life to Christ in January 2008 and I haven't been the same since! My relationship with Jesus has grown every year and I continue to fall in love with His Word and teachings every day! No matter what new shenanigans I think up, I come to pray and ask God, "Whatcha think about this, Lord?" and patiently wait for nudges I like to call "God Whispers" to guide me in any life decision. I know deep in my heart that He loves me, care for me and knows the number of hairs on my head - that's love, y'all!

Scripture I'm devouring this month:
The Foundation of Perseverance: Walking into 2026 with Purpose
Reflecting on James 1:12

As we step into the fresh landscape of 2026, January and February invite us to do more than just set goals—they call us to build a foundation that lasts. While the world focuses on fleeting resolutions, our journey is rooted in something deeper: perseverance. The book of James offers us a powerful anchor for the year ahead: “Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him” (James 1:12).

Faith, Fitness, and Finance in Alignment
True stewardship is an intentional blend of how we move our bodies, how we manage our means, and how we grow in spirit. Perseverance isn't a single sprint; it’s the quiet, joyful discipline of showing up when the "new year glow" begins to dim.
-
Spiritually: As the pace of the year picks up, perseverance means protecting your peace. It’s the intentional choice to carve out stillness for prayer, ensuring your heart is anchored before the day demands your energy.
-
Physically: In these colder months, honoring the temple God gave you requires grit. Whether it’s hitting the mat when you’d rather stay in bed or choosing nourishment that fuels your purpose, every movement is a testament to your commitment.
-
Financially: With tax season approaching and the post-holiday "reset" in full swing, perseverance looks like discipline. It’s about stewarding your resources with a long-term vision—trading impulsive choices for intentional growth and financial peace.
Standing the Test
Applying James 1:12 to 2026 means choosing the "hard right" over the "easy wrong." It’s about recognizing that the "trials" of discipline—the early workouts, the budget tracking, the moments of patience—are refining us for the life God has promised.
Let’s not just start this year; let’s sustain it. May your February be defined by a heart anchored in faith, a body moving in strength, and a lifestyle aligned with your highest calling. Together, let’s build a 2026 that honors the Giver of all good things.
